Bonnaroo Time Part 2!

Okay on to the next one. Round 2 has begun my friends, and I hope you brought the pain.
Let's get right to it.

http://www.tonyholmes.com/photos/414275588_aNnmp-L.jpg1. Imelda May: She's beautiful, and she's irish. She also won Best Female Performance at the 2009 Meteor Awards. Her voice sounds a lot like Pink but she has a Salsa style to her music. Her high energy on stage attracts many non-believers. I am indifferent but if she's playing and you don't have anyone else to see, check it out.

http://rockforward.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/harper-simon.jpg*2.Harper Simon: Paul Simon's son. Great songwriter and musician. I recommend going to check this out for the fact that he's a legacy. This is a slower acoustic one man show but it's a great sound.

http://www.hearya.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/frontier-ruckus.jpg3. Frontier Ruckus: Wow there's a lot of acoustic and banjos this year. These guys are better than most of the ones so far, they are a little bit bigger and we're getting more into decently known people. They have a few good reviews as being one of the best new 'Folk Bands'.

4. Frank Turner: Another folk singer who mixes folk with punk this time. Interesting combo and it's not bad, but nothing special either. But he's had around 3 or 4 studio albums so that's gotta count for something right?!

http://www.wakarusa.com/images/artists_musiclineup/Elmwood_345.jpg5. Elmwood: A jam band, they don't seem to have that much to do other than play covers. They tour with OAR and have played side-stage with Dave Matthews. I'm not a fan, I give it a big fat MEH.

http://www.keithcase.com/profiles/ElizaCook/Images/ElizabethCook02.jpg6. Elizabeth Cook: Country music star that does what every other woman does that's in country music. Be boring and make me want to leave. But she's cute though and she can sing.

**7. Boy Crisis: Now this is my kind of beat. It's a disco-punk that I can't describe other than say they have a MGMT sound (Maybe electropunk). It's the shows I would end up seeing with my taste in music.

**8. Angus & Julia Stone: Sometimes the best bands are found hidden under a rock and this may be one of them. I had never heard of this duo but hearing this song made me fall for them. I recommend checking this one out, they mix acoustic guitar with piano and it sounds great. They're a brother-sister combo from Australia.

http://blogs.ocweekly.com/heardmentality/dawes.jpg9. Dawes: This is the sound you'll hear the most this year it seems. The folk rises again with this four man band. They're okay but just like the others really.

10. Alyssa Bonagura: Downtown Franklin chick that is trying her wheel at fame by playing an acoustic band with the normal folk sound. Once again, you can just take your pick with these types.

*11. BOB: Here's one you might actually know. Ever heard the song on the radio play called Nothing On You? I know you have if you listen to most radio stations, but if not, look it up. I linked a different song here for a more Bonnaroo feel. But he's good if you like R&B.

12. Hot Rize: Well they've been the king of Bluegrass for 32 years. If you're into Bluegrass then dip right in. I, on the other hand, will pass.

http://sarafine.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/here_we_go_magic.jpg

13. Here We Go Magic: Very odd sound with mixings from guitars and trance, to clapping and techno beats. I just don't know what to say.

http://www.muzzleofbees.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/09/lucero.jpg
*14. Lucero: His voice is raspy and they have an accordion in the band. But aside from that fact, they sound great. I can almost say that anyone would enjoy this music. Unless you're into death metal. Then you'll hate it. They're from Memphis and they have an indie-southern rock sound.

http://etiquetasaloshombres.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/ingrid-michaelson2.jpg
***15. Ingrid Michaelson: This is a definite for me, but I also really like her and she's a cutie. But this music is GREAT. Her talent is amazing and she shows it in every show. She has the indie-pop sound that I enjoy, so do some research and find out you need to see her.

Shorter post this time, but I'll continue as I get time. We're getting in to bigger names now so it will be a lot more definites to see. I will also be leaving out DJs, Lightshows and Comedians. I will mention them at the end.
